SNARE Complex Competition
The SNARE complex (VAMP, Syntaxin, SNAP-25) mediates vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release. Argireline and SNAP-8 mimic the N-terminal 6 or 8 residues of SNAP-25, competing for assembly of the SNARE complex and reducing acetylcholine exocytosis at neuromuscular junctions.Localized Muscle Relaxation
